 Can be from an automotive paint job, or paint that gets blown on to your car by the wind from construction crews working outside.
 
 This is a lengthy process involving a clay bar, with more aggressive measures requiring sand paper. However, the contamination can be removed, afterwords leaving paint contaminate free.
 
 Overtime, taking your car to a normal carwash can leave your vehicles paint with "spider web" marks. These marks are known as "swirl marks." Most of these are surface level and should remove rather quickly.
 
 Scratches that are a result of brushing against: shrubs, branches, or pillars; no longer have the "guarantee" of being able to be removed. These require the use of wet sanding and invoke the adage "sand to improve, not remove."
 
 While from 1 or 2 feet out, the deep scratches will be "removed" placing your face right on to the panel will reveal some "groves" in the paint. However, for most people this isn't a problem.
